coldplay, u2 and david beckham..

Last Oct, I went back to Lk for my second offshore assignment. As they say, when its your second stay there, it's not as much exciting as it is in your first arrival there.. That was partly true for me coz there were only a few pinoys in rosehill at that time and I was the only female out of 6 pinoys.. But because of the loneliness at that time, I wouldn't be able to discover some of the things that i love right now..

There were times that I would get lonely there, so I resorted to listening to music. I was able to listen to the three albums of coldplay (borrowed from Jo of Newport). And I really loved it! OK, ok.. My reaction is a little bit late since their albums have been released 2-4 years ago.. Sure, I know "Yellow" (who wouldn't??) and i've heard of "the scientist" but this time I was able to listen to three whole albums! And I found out that they have many other great songs. Out of all the coldplay songs, my favorite is "in my place." My heart skips a beat whenever I start to hear its intro. There was I time that I would play this song over and over and over again.. And I never got sick of it. I was also able to listen to U2's "HOw to dismantle an atomic bomb"... No wonder it won album of the year in 2005 Grammy's. So many great songs packed in one album.. My favorite in that album is "sometimes you can't make it on your own" which Bono wrote for his (late?) father. I even bought a dvd copy of one of U2's vertigo concerts (oops.. sori pirated lang..). tristan commented that since I went home, my taste for music has been british/irish inspired. But I also found a new respect for these two bands. They're not just great rock bands -- Bono lobbying to make poverty history and (coldplay's) Chris Martin's "make trade fair".

And as for david beckham, well, you can watch him on every channel there. And he's just sooooo good-looking.. I bought a 2006 calendar with his picture on every month/page. I didn't care about the dates or the numbers. I just love looking at his picture.. hehehe...
